Ten days of exploring and learning the context and culture of an urban Muslim refugee community in East Africa. This trip is designed to help those who are discerning whether God is calling them to work in Africa among refugee Muslims.

When some people hear “Romania”, one of three things come to mind .. Nadia Comaneci, the amazing gymnast; Ceausescu and Communism; abandoned children. But there is so much more! Come for a short glimpse of what God is doing here, through and among Romanians.
Time will be spent at Steps of Hope, an NGO that works with junior high and high school students – participating and helping out as possible. Time will also be spent at a small neighborhood church which is seeking to reach out relationally to our neighbors. Seeing the city, getting a feel for the culture and the setting, as well as making space to reflect will round out the experience.
