As with most InnerChange ministries, the goal is relationship! In Romania there are currently a couple venues for building relationships: Steps of Hope and a small neighborhood church. Steps of Hope is a tutoring & mentoring program for junior high & high school students, with opportunities to be involved with English, sports, art, or other areas of knowledge. “Crossroads Church” is reaching out relationally within our poor neighborhood, so time will be spent both with church members and young people from the neighborhood.
Some of the greatest needs here are emotional, and one new area which is being focused on is prayer – both with and for others.
Participating in team life, spiritual formation, and learning both the culture and the language will be the main focus for the first year.

When some people hear “Romania”, one of three things come to mind .. Nadia Comaneci, the amazing gymnast; Ceausescu and Communism; abandoned children. But there is so much more! Come for a short glimpse of what God is doing here, through and among Romanians.
Time will be spent at Steps of Hope, an NGO that works with junior high and high school students – participating and helping out as possible. Time will also be spent at a small neighborhood church which is seeking to reach out relationally to our neighbors. Seeing the city, getting a feel for the culture and the setting, as well as making space to reflect will round out the experience.
